 | New Update
"Remember : it's like not remembering. With Ae."
Here is a new significant update of my portfolio website, to reflect all the changes that happened recently. Even though I am still working in projects regardless of their worldwide location, I am now based in Hungary, in the beautiful city of Budapest.
My portfolio has been updated with pictures from my lastest projects : fashion shoots, but also landscapes with a first view on Romania’s wonderful scenery.
The blog section of this website has been completely updated, instead of being links to other website, it is now an independant news feed where I will post all the pictures I am taking day after day and talk about all the on-going projects. Enjoy :) |
 | New pictures
I just updated my portfolio with 3 new pictures. One landscape : a scenery in Transylvania at sunrise. It was take in october at a huge gypsy fair.
I also added two fashion portraits with Eva, taken in Budapest. They are part of a series we took in the city center, in the middle of tram lines, and it's called Eva's way.

 | Moving to Budapest
After four years of working in Prague, I finally felt like a change and took the opportunity to move to Hungary's capital, Budapest, for new challenges.
Budapest has been very active in cinema in the last couple of years and I am here to work on many exciting projects, from feature films to independant productions !

 | Wall after Wall
This summer, I was shooting of a low-budget music video for a Czech band called Sweeper. This song, "Wall after Wall" is their new single to be released and the video is now showing on Czech TV !
With a small crew, we shot over 2 days on HD format.
The video is now online on my website. You can see it by clicking here. |
 | Showreel Trailer
There is finally some live action video on the website ! I am editing my full cinematography showreel, and I need some projects to be completed to be able to post it online. The main movies on it are still in post-production.
But here is a small preview of it, in a 50-second trailer where you can have an idea of what it's gonna look like. The footage is non-color corrected, raw from the camera.

 | Opening the "Blog" section
The blog section of this website is finally open !
On that page, you will find links towards my 3 main internet accounts :
- DeviantArt where I share exclusive pictures where everyone can comment them and discuss.
- Facebook to stay in touch and exchange messages
- MySpace where I post more personal pictures
Click on the BLOG tab on the top of this page to access it. |
 | Photo Shoot with Julija
Last week-end, I quickly did a photo-shoot "test" with my friend Julija. We improvised and played with the light, and this picture came out after an hour or so.
I added it to my portfolio, click on the image on the left to access the full view. |
 | Deviant Art account updated
One main part of the upcoming "blog" section of this website is my DeviantArt account. DeviantArt is a huge community website for sharing pictures. It's a great way to see what other people are doing, get in touch with artists and comment each other's work.
I just updated my account with infos and a few pictures.
You can see it over here : http://unparadized.deviantart.com/
In the future, I will also put pictures on deviantart to talk about them with fellow photographers before adding them to my portfolio, so there might be some exclusive content over there ;) |
 | New design
This is the new design of the website !
Keeping the general theme and vibe but bringing a better navigation, the 2008 version is soon going to be filled with content : new pictures, 2008 showreel, and a new part with links to blog and small articles to follow the behind the scenes of the productions. |
 | Shooting "Na Prahu"
I was recently shooting a new short film called "Na Prahu" ("On the treshold"), written and directed by Jesse Baldwin.
I was Director of Photography and operator once again, for an intense 10-day shoot. The story deals with a young boy who falls in love with an older girl and is going to try to grow up to approach her. The very complex and interesting script about how you become an adult step by step was supported by an incredible cast of young Czech talents.
The movie was shot in Prague, with Czech dialogs and will be released later on in 2008. It was an other full-steadicam experience for me.
Soon to appear in my showreel :) |
 | Shooting "Shortcut"
In november 2007, I was Director of Photography of a horror short film named Shortcut. Written and directed by Rick James, it tells the story of a young woman who cuts through a park at night and gets stalked by junkies.
I was operating myself for the whole shoot. We shot on HD with a Panasonic camera, and it was a true challenge as all the shots were on Steadicam. A great experience.
The film is now being edited and should be released later this year. |
 | Shooting "Faubourg 36"
From July to October, I was working on a french film called "Faubourg 36" ("Paris 36" as a possible international title). It is one of the biggest 2008 french productions, directed by Christophe Barratier. The story takes place in 1936, when three jobless artists decide to occupy a theatre to create their own musical.
The shooting took mostly place in Prague where I was 2nd Camera Assistant. It will be released in cinemas in october 2008.

 | New Portrait Pictures
I am adding two pictures to the portrait category : two shots of Florence.
The pictures were taken in an attic in Prague with two small lights. Hope you enjoy them. |
 | New Concert Pictures
In the last few months, I have been working a lot with a young and talented Czech Band called "Sunflower Caravan". Their electronic style is very unique, and yet very sympathetic from the first time it meets your ears.
I have been following them in a few live gigs, click on the picture to see the shots !

 | New Landscape
And one new landscape picture for today, or should I say Urbanscape ... this was taken in Prague, in a hidden train station where only small local trains go.
The sunset light went throught the clouds for one spare moment, shining on the old brick texture of the wall. I was really lucky to be there. |
